Some of this might seem insulting. You've been on vacations. You know that when you go to an airport, it's generally a good idea to bring a photo ID.
Fair enough. So we hate to state the obvious... but remember how in Office Space, their whole scheme unraveled when the one geek made a simple rounding error? The obvious stuff can sneak up on you. There's no shame in using a list, especially if you want honeymoon sex that doesn't include making a baby:

- Contact info for key numbers back home. (Don't rely on your cell phone. You might not have service and your phone might die.)

- Prepaid phone card (you might not have cell service)

- Frisbee
- Massage oil
- Tourist guide
- Foreign language book
- Condoms
- More condoms
- Duty free premium liquor (pick up at airport)
- A couple of books
- Portable DVD player
- Deck of cards
- Basics: Clothes
- Jeans
- Underwear (this is expert advice, we know)
- At least one "going out" shirt she's never seen
- Gym clothes
- Nightlife clothes
- Sports coat (yep, even if you're going to Hawaii--always good to have)
- Tie
- Dress shoes
- Sneakers
- Walking around shoes/Sandals
- Fleece sweater (or something equally versatile)
- Rain slicker (takes no weight or space--no reason not to pack)
- Khaki shorts
- 2 bathing suits
- New, stylish pair of boxers/boxer-briefs

- Crappy sunglasses you don't mind losing while parasailing

- iPod / external speakers (if hotel doesn't come equipped with radio; call ahead and ask.)
- FannyPack. Kidding. Pack this and die.

- Earplugs for plane/wife
- Backpack/messenger bag
- No Laptop. (Leave it at home, if you can.)
