The Latest In Toilet Paper Wedding Dresses

There are only a few times when most men are interested in wedding dresses: when they’ve been tasked by their fiancé to help with dress buying; when they’re standing at the altar facing their bride; and when they’re back at the honeymoon suite trying to get their new wife OUT of her wedding dress.

We recently discovered a fourth scenario: when the wedding dress is made of toilet paper.

Behold these notable entries from the 15th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest, presented by Charm Weddings and Quilted Northern®. The winning design, by Mimoza Haska of Surfside Beach, SC, features a crocheted flounce top mermaid dress with a fishbowl veil.

You’ve got to admire the ingenuity that went into some of these designs–to say nothing of the marketing savvy of the event itself. After all, this contest promotes toilet paper without ever referencing its sole function. It doesn’t matter that it’s a completely impractical material for a wedding dress (though we know one bride that could have put it to good use.)
