Here are our favorites (all with full bars and accommodations for private parties) from New York City and San Francisco.
1. Keens Steakhouse
This Victorian-era meat-lover’s destination is perfect for the carnivorous history buff. The Lillie Langtry Room seats 25 people, so it’s perfect for a larger bachelor party dinner. The Lincoln Room, which seats 60, is an excellent choice for a rehearsal dinner.

Del Frisco’s consistently tops lists of NY steakhouses for its steak (obviously) and the incredible view you get of midtown. Urban elegance, amazing filet mignon, and lobster mac and cheese; what more could you ask for

Book the Butcher Room (a room constructed entirely of end-cut butcher blocks) for up to 24 people.

5. Ricardo Steak House
If you’re looking for a place with a fun, upbeat atmosphere, head to Ricardo. Unique elements of this NY steakhouse are a year-round outdoor patio, a fresh raw bar, and live DJs. This place is pretty well known for strong drinks in addition to great food, so it’s definitely an ideal bachelor party contender. You will need to venture into East Harlem, but it’s worth the trip.

1. Alexander’s Steakhouse
This SoMa steakhouse is truly unique culinary experience, fusing classical steakhouse dishes with creative Japanese cuisine. Each dish is presented so artistically that you may even be tempted to snap some food porn (don’t worry, we won’t judge). A few of the most raved about dishes? Wagyu beef, tomahawk chop, seared foie gras, truffle fries, and even cotton candy. And of course, you have to order Hamachi shots. Yes, the prices are up there, but you’ll be happy you splurged.

2. Harris’ The San Francisco Steakhouse
A true meat-lover’s paradise, Harris’ serves its acclaimed dry-aged steaks in a posh, wood-paneled dining room. The steaks are waiting.

5A5 modernizes the traditional steakhouse by blending the ambience of a contemporary restaurant with that of a vibrant cocktail lounge. In other words, with its dance floor, modern lighting, and in-house DJ, it’s just plain cool. Specializing in the crème de la crème of steaks, Wagyu and Kobe beef, 5A5 will more than satisfy even the most discerning steak connoisseur.

5. House of Prime Rib
Another steakhouse favorite on Van Ness, this old school, English-style restaurant has been serving up acclaimed juicy prime rib and top shelf martinis since the 1940s. We recommend House of Prime Rib for rehearsal dinners, as typical bachelor party duds won’t cut it. But if the guys are willing to suit up, then definitely go for it!
