Are you planning on tackling post-wedding issues? I'm not talking about how to stay married for 50 years, but maybe surviving the first year or two would be nice.
I also don't remember seeing anything the sometimes sticky issue of the woman changing her name. How exactly do you sucker your fiancee into changing her identity? |

Hey Cody--
Welcome. Yeah, we definitely plan on covering more post-wedding stuff. (We do have an article on "post wedding stress," but you're right, there's pleny more out there.
And as for how to get her to take your name?
Ask and ye shall receive..

Dude-- I love this website. If only I had read it a while ago I wouldn't have been pressured into inviting a ton of co-workers to my wedding, arguing about the little insignificant parts of the wedding planning and lots of other stuff... Oh well, I get married in a few months still-- so there is still time to try some of the tips on this site. Keep up the good work! |

Thanks HXC-- appreciate it. Good luck with the rest of the process, and let us know if there's anything specific you want to see more of. And spread the word... |

I am a HUGE fan of this site! I wish I could have seen it a long time ago.
My fiance keeps sending me emails with links to "the knot" articles about this and that. The most recent one was about the groom's toast and I like your advice so much better!
Keep up the good work, this is a great idea! |

I am actually the Bride, but I came across this website on Facebook. You should definitely set up an application or something on Facebook, so that more Grooms can check out The Plunge. My fiance loves your website, and it has even helped me because I completely disagree with how sites like The Knot and Wedding Channel present information on weddings and advice. Thank you so much for setting up this site, it is realistic and gives the best wedding advice for men and women!

Thanks Mary -- happ to hear that you're liking the site. You're absolutley right; we need to do more on Facebook to spread the word. (One of the many, many things we're working on at start-up.)
A Facebook App is definitely in the pipeline...until then thanks for helping spread the word.

I'm a bride too, and just like Mary I came across your website via FaceBook. I loved your site so much, that I forwarded the link to everyone I knew. Practical advice for those of us that live in the real world! Thanks for all the great advice as well as a few great laughs! I can't tell you how addicted my fiance and I are to your articles. Love it!

Two suggestions:
1. Create an option that an email goes to you when someone replies to your post.
2. You should try to find advertising space on some of the wedding sites. Most women in this process are looking for any information and looking to get her groom as involved as possible. They would definitely direct them here (as my fiancee did) |

Thanks for the suggestions. RE email notifications there is a "subscribe" button that emails on posts to the topic-- however I think it's all posts. Will investigate.

Hello,
I am also a bride to be and I have to say this website is so refreshing. The consumeristic wedding mania can be annoying at best, and it's good to see that some place is taking the whole process not too seriously. I bought one wedding magazine, read it from cover to cover, then threw it away. :) I will surely show this website to anyone I know who is taking the plunge. (Yeah, it's scary for us too.) |

Im also a female, even though my name on here is Joe lol. Which brings me to my first suggestion: please create a way to change your screenname on here. I meant to type jo as in joanne but added an extra E and now it looks like Im a dude but Im not. Im actually a wife of almost 3years, and Im a comedian and sarcastic bitch by nature , so I love this site. Seriously, the girls on the knot have zero sense of humor and are a bunch of depressing people. They have anger issues and attack each other for no reason. This site gets right to the point with great humor. Im here to help, since I planned my own wedding. Also, Ive always preferred hangin at the sports bar watching the yankee game to spa day with the girls. So here I am.
My suggestion is to add a potpouri section,or a Not Wedding Related section. Most message boards have one of these, and they are great stress relievers. When youre planning a wedding, its nice to not talk about it ALL THE TIME. Even in here.
Great site.

In the getting married portion there is no section for Registry. If like some feedback on mine and get some opinions on where to get the greatest stuff. Lets see it!
Love the site by the way. |

Fellas,
How about adding a few details on the specifics of wedding food? (unless you already have it, in which case i missed it). Im not talking about the overall jist of it, im talking about the details... Pastas, salads, types of meat, side dishes etc.)...red meat and bozze are a given.
Also, how about a detailed run down of all the hot spots for a honeymoon. you know, Hawaii, Jamaica, Belize, Italy etc... Break um all down and even offer up suggestions for different price ranges
Just a couple thoughts. I love this site by the way! |

Hey plunge ppls!!!! I like the website as is, but one thing I wouldnt mind seeing is a segment on newest trends for the groom, ya know like wedding colors, hot spots, tux designs, etc. etc. I havent searched all over this website yet so hopefully I dont make an ass outta myself by finding out you do have those segments. Other than that.....keep up the good work. |

I also think that now that I'm engaged and getting married soon... I am no more time for Dress Up Games... I have to be a responsible wife for my future husband...
