So I've avoided 95% of the wedding planning thus far but my bride to be asked me today what I planned on doing with the guys of the wedding party the morning of the wedding. We don't get married until 4pm and don't need to be at the ceremony until 1 pm to take pictures. That leaves me all morning to entertain my groomsmen, ushers and dads. Any ideas of what to do?

well you dont NEED to do anything, but my husband, dad, brother, and uncle all went golfing at the hotel golf course, had a nice breakfast, and then hung out together and relaxed until they had to get ready. Just relax and make sure you are there on time lol. And make sure you eat. Its hard to eat AT the wedding, youre being pulled in so many directions sometimes. so eat well .

I think my groomsdudes and I will hopefully be saunaing and swimming prior to the wedding. Then a trip around the lake on a jet boat. Being of Finnish heritage, Saunas are something important to me. Traditionally it's where the men would discuss business, followed up with beer.

I'm a big believer in doing something active before the wedding.

I was a groomsmen in a bunch of weddings last year.  In one of them, the hotel had an outdoor beach volleyball court so we did that.  In one of them, we played flag football.  In one of them we swam in the hotel pool with Coronas in hand.

What you do NOT want to do is mope around in your hotel like a shmuck; that will just make you even more jittery and nervous. Get the blood flowing, have a good time with your friends.

Thanks for all the ideas. We landed on golfing Saturday morning followed by a  lunch back at the hotel and then a casual poker game the rest of the afternoon as we wait for pictures and ceremony.

Dude that sounds perfect.  And you'll find it's amazing how "lucky" you'll be at poker as your buddies will probably throw you the game.  (Your best man: "Ahw, damnit, I got 4 kings. Fold."

I got lucky, I think mine fell into place, my best man is setting up a morning of skeet shooting, which I am thankful for, it's one less thing I have to worry about.

Man. I'm officially jealous. That sounds awesome.
