I'm new to this site and forum, so forgive me if you've heard this question a thousand times before.

I'm very seriouly thinking of getting engaged.

I'm 27 and have been with my girlfriend for over five years and we've lived together for two. We both have full-time jobs and our lives are great. Our relationship is great, so it's not really a question of IF we'll get engaged/married, but when.

Despite being together for a long time I had never given it much thought until recently when we started going to a lot of friends' weddings, and, her parents started giving me a bit of hard time about it. Always just playful ball breaking though.

Anyway, I guess my actual question is, should I get engaged just because it's probably time? Or do I have to wait for a "moment" when I know it's time?

If you really want to be engage with your long time girlfriend, make it happen that it's she you really wanted, you really want to spend in your life and you can feel it if she the lady you've been wanting in your whole life. The spark is different., so try to ask your self about what your going to do..think if a hundred times before making a decission.
