My buddies and I are hitting Vegas for a bachelor party in late July. I know the city pretty well but haven't been in a couple of years. Will probably suck it up and pay the extra $ for Palms or Hard Rock, but not everyone has the same budget and there are some great deals out there for the 2nd tier casinos.  Group is still deadlocked.  Anyone been to Vegas recently and have any hotel tips or advice?

Vegas is totally the spot brah. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

I would stay at the Hard Rock! That place Rocks! The Chicks that hang out there are hot! Don't go to some Fru Foo hotel. There is also the Gold Club to go to late night to get you're Lap Dance on. You're about to get tied down so you better make this one count.

Most important question: what's your budget?  If money's no option, go for the Wynn and live large!  If you're looking for something between $400-600 for flight + Hotel, Excalibur's pretty fun, and the rooms are decent.  If you pick the right day on Expedia, you can get 2-3 nights at Caesar's for about 500 (that's where I'm going actually).

Yeah, we're probably looking at a litlte less than the Wynn, a little more than Excalbibur.   Never been at the Wynn so it's good to hear the recommendation. I know it's expensive and posh, but I didn't know if it was fun, you know? (i.e. fun like Hard Rock and The Palms)

Will probably just get the best deal we can and go from there...

I'll throw Caesar's out there again for som ething mid-priced and good for fun.  Hard Rock's definitely good in general, but pretty much everyone I know says Caesar's is still high quality, and they know how to throw a bachelor party right.  It pretty much depends what you want to do and your prices.  From the sound of it, you're not going wrong wherever you end up (I was looking at the Palm for my bachelor party, but couldn't afford it at the time).

Thanks legaleye. Never actually stayed at Caesar's so it's probably worth checking out.

And yes, you're right, the hotel's really a seconday consideration, right? I mean you're in Vegas.  If you can't have fun there, you can't have fun anywhere.

Caesars is pretty awesome, althought the palm seems like a good idea its not actually on the strip which is not the vegas experience if you ask me.
